Duplain Selects privacy policy

Duplain Media operates Selects at selects.duplainmedia.com to deliver videos, organize client projects, and collect project feedback. This policy explains the information used by that service.

Information we collect

We store client contact details provided to us, such as name, company, email address, and phone number; project details and media; access permissions; and feedback submitted through Selects. If you mark feedback as available to quote, it may be used as a testimonial with the identifying details you provide.

We record project activity, including page opens, video plays, downloads, and access events. Some events include an email address or browser information. The application and its hosting services also process technical information, such as IP addresses, request details, and security logs, to operate and protect the service.

Signing in with Google or email

If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides identity information used to verify your email address and confirm access. Selects requests basic identity and email access. It does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, or calendar, and it does not receive your Google password.

You can choose an email sign-in link instead. We use your email address to send that link and check which projects you may access. Administrator access also uses an authenticator app and recovery codes. Selects stores encrypted authenticator setup information and hashed recovery codes to support that protection.

How we use information

We use this information to deliver and organize your projects, control access, respond to feedback, send sign-in and project-related emails, understand whether deliveries have been viewed or downloaded, and prevent misuse. Google identity information is used for sign-in and access control, not advertising.

Cookies and browser storage

Selects uses essential cookies for sign-in, project access, and security. Client portal sessions can last up to 30 days. Administrator sessions last up to eight hours; an administrator may separately choose to trust a browser for up to 30 days. Temporary login and setup cookies expire sooner. Clearing cookies or signing out may require you to sign in again.

Who processes information

We use Vercel for website hosting, Supabase for database storage, Cloudflare R2 for media storage and delivery, Resend for email delivery, and Google when you choose Google sign-in. These providers process information needed to perform their roles. Information may be processed outside your state or country.

Project visibility depends on the access settings chosen for that project. A project configured for open-link access can be viewed by someone who has its link. Invoice links and other external links lead to services with their own privacy practices.

Some production workflows can use Anthropic to draft clip descriptions from selected video frames and project context. This is separate from Google sign-in; Google login information is not sent to that captioning workflow. The local ingest workflow is not currently in use.

Retention and your choices

Project, contact, feedback, and activity records remain stored until they are removed as part of project management or a reviewed deletion request. Sign-in credentials expire on their configured schedules, but expiration does not necessarily mean the underlying record has been deleted. Backups and provider logs may retain information separately.

Contact caleb@duplainmedia.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, or to ask about project access. We may need to verify your identity and confirm which records belong to you. Some information may need to be retained for an ongoing project or applicable obligations.

You can remove Selects' Google connection from your Google Account. That stops that connection but does not automatically delete project records or sign out an existing Selects session. You can sign out of Selects separately or contact us for help.
